29ARCHIVE proudly presents our inaugral publication of GROWING PAINS, the first photo book by Sydney artist Tyler Norman.

A book of photographs created across New York and Sydney between 2016 – 2022, Growing Pains traces the euphoric and painful process of growing up; and all its distortion. The book follows Norman's inner world and experiences over a six year period, highlighting the constant and inescapable paradoxes that exist in life. Intimacy vs isolation. Peace vs chaos. Self vs other. Through personal photographs and archival material, Growing pains documents youth culture at the edge of adolescence and adulthood; in all its grit and glory.

A meditation on friendship, identity, innocence, love and loss, Growing Pains is a true portrait of youth in all its beauty, brutality and contradiction.
